ISSL announces FIRST YEAR UNIVERSITY AT HOME possible in 2010
Affordable quality education from accredited providers continues to be a focus
for ISSL. We have entered a partnership with University of New Brunswick to provide FIRST YEAR UNIVERSITY AT HOME
for all students who qualify.
ISSL will assist students who take this program by providing on-site facilitators,
support and technical assistance. The students will meet others in the program and travel through as a cohort,
discussing topics and progess together.
The on line courses will be done at home and the sessions together will be planned for late afternoon or evening depending on the needs of the students involved.
Spanish will
be delivered face to face, rather than on-line, with our own Mrs. Tracy George.

Sponsorship: International School St. Lucia is a not-for-profit school which allows students
to earn their diploma by completing credits. This has proven to encourage more students to be successful. In St.
Lucia, the need for that flexibility is great. With strong teachers who know how to differentiate programs for students
and who practice understanding of the multiple intelligences, students feel valued, learn more quickly, and show better results
than before. The school is also a leader in making opportunities to work in the community, with 40 volunteer
hours mandatory for graduation. The school supports the Young Leader and Junior Achievement Programs to add to the students'
experiences. This type of program is costly, yet we manage to keep the tuition lower than most private secondary
schools anywhere. If you would like to help more students become learners at this school - a donation toward scholarships
for students, student awards, support for tuition, or just for operating expenses - would allow us to continue bringing a
high quality, effective mode of education to St. Lucian students at a price they can afford. Diamond sponsor:
